The 2015/16 harvest generally went to plan. It started slightly earlier than last year on the Waimea Plains and Motueka and Moutere were similar timing to last year.
We harvested higher amounts of IQF in the Moutere area than usual as some areas on the Waimea Plains had been hit with a hail storm just as the crop was about to be harvested.
Boysenberries New Zealand is fortunate to have a good geographic spread across the Nelson region. Quality overall was very good with little problems experienced by growers.
